Colorado Twill High Rise Shorts

I wanted to like these shorts so bad! Shape wise, I’m 5’3”, 140-ish lbs, my shapage is built petite, hour glass shape. I went with the size 8, but I could/should’ve sized down. The cut of these high-waisted shorts is awkward. Waist was accurate but the legs of the shorts balloon out - but they’re pretty short (in length overall). There’s a lot of space in the crotch area and also the backside. It was almost like the fabric was cut incorrectly and mass produced by mistake. The shorts did NOT fit me anything like they do on the model in the item’s photos. I don’t think the photograph is accurate in showing how the item will fit. Disappointed and bummed. Although I should size down, I won’t be repurchasing because i suspect I’ll have the same issues, even with the accurate sizing.
