Metallic Crochet Maxi Dress

For an upcoming trip to India, I was so excited to find this Maxi dress, for the lightweight fabric, shimmering metallic on black color, with a sequined bodice, to wear on evenings calling for more formal attire at dinner. Instead, I was disappointed when I tried the dress on. The fabric is such poor quality, like wrinkled gauze, the black lining beneath that does not appear clearly in the picture falls above my knee, the length is awkwardly short on me (I'm 5'8"), and the bodice balloons out to each side as it's cut much too generously for a 36B. It's rare for a garment sold only as "one size fits all" to really fit all.
