Runs small
I bought this dress for my daughter who tried it on in the store, she tried on a medium because it was all they had. She’s usually a small, she’s 5’6” but 120 pounds. The medium fit perfectly. It’s a beautiful dress.

Short torso/waist
The shell embroidery underneath was so nice that I had to order this and try. The cotton was what I wanted and a great plus for having cotton lining too. No need to mention the color is gorgeous. However, for this price I expect more of the design/sizing to fit. The sizing is totally off as if the top is not fit for the bottom. I have a full bust so I went really higher on the size so that bust would have enough room, but the torso and waist is so short that it looks so odd fitting with so big of an elastic in between top and the skirt, with top being too small and bottom being too frumpy. They didn't need to put this much fabric for the bottom skirt under the huge elastic. and I feel they should have given longer line for the bust and brought the elastic further down to fit more on the waist rather than just right under the bust. When I tried it it was nothing like the photo for my body type. If you are more curvy and you may have to size up, I won't think this would be a good fit.
