Durham Cashmere Sweater Dress

If you’re like me, when you buy a cashmere sweater you probably have a specific idealized version in mind. You want something ultra-ultra-soft and luxurious, sophisticated yet effortless. These days there are SO MANY mediocre, itchy, overpriced cashmere garments in circulation. Rag & Bone has made this fabulous dress out of the most sensuous cashmere I’ve felt in ages. It’s very expensive, yes. But I’m willing to pay a premium for an investment piece that’ll last for years with proper care. It’s versatile, too; the bottom hemline is easily tucked under so that you can wear it as a longline top with jeans or shorts. But as a dress its length is perfect—not too short or long, which is important for a woman my height (5’10”). True to size. I bought it in black (it’s a dark, rich, “true black”) and I’m psyched for autumn to begin!
