Astra Slingback Flat (Women)

Let me say first off that I have “problem feet”, including a bunion and my feet are somewhat narrow. Because of this, I have a hard time finding slingback, closed-toe sandals to wear that aren’t uncomfortable. These R&B Astra slingback sandals are very well-made, and they are soft and comfortable to wear! I love the square toe that allows more room at the toe bed area and the adjustable straps on them are a major plus. I bought these sandals in the light blue “Sky” color, which is a light denim tweed texture. The material is soft and the bottom is leather. These shoes are extremely well-made and high-quality. They also run true-to-size. I ordered my normal size 7M and they fit very comfortably. I actually just ordered these in another color, the blue denim. These are definitely sandals you can dress up or casually with jeans. Highly recommend! These are also a great deal at Nordstrom Rack as they are $368 on R&B’s website!

These Rag & Bone denim flat sandals are absolutely adorable and unlike anything else I have seen. I especially loved the denim design, which feels fresh and unique. It is surprisingly difficult to find sandals in denim that look this polished and stylish. My usual size was not available, so I ordered a half size up and hoped the ankle and back straps would provide enough support. Because of the square toe, I also thought sizing up might be more comfortable. Unfortunately, the larger size felt quite big, and I believe my true size would have fit much better. The sole was a bit slippery, but if the fit had been right, I would have happily kept them and simply added a non-slip sole at a shoe repair shop because the design is so appealing. In the end, I returned them only because of the sizing. If my usual size becomes available, I would definitely consider purchasing them again. Such a charming and beautifully designed pair of sandals.

These shoes are absolutely strikingly beautiful, and the ankle strap gives them a fabulous bit of edge. Unfortunately, I didn’t find them comfortable at all. The foot bed was hard and narrow, despite being sized correctly. The toe box would probably be fine for a narrower foot, but I’m no longer willing to suffer. (i’m a true size 5.5, but generally size up for the width.) My biggest concern, however, was the large expanse of mirror finish at the front. It’s just asking to get scuffed up and look bad. In fact, one shoe in the pair I got already had some kind of smudge. I wish I had liked them more, but it’s probably better that I returned them.

I have been eyeing these for a while in the white as they are a perfect spring and summer flat that is stylish and fits the look I was going for. I purchased my normal size 9 and they fit perfect. Both straps are adjustable so you can customize the fit. I got these beauties at a great sale price - Nordy’s had the best price I had seen all season. Now that it’s fall I probably won’t be wearing much but will be happy to have these come spring. Rag and Bone made great quality shoes. You won’t be disappointed.

This is my 3rd pair of Rag&bone slingbacks. I have a narrow foot and these are perfect. The silver color is shiney perfection, a touch of glam with jeans and a bit of an edge for my work wardrobe. Silver shoes were all over the runways for fall, and these are comfy and beautiful. Win win!
