Small and Mighty
I wanted a two wheeled bag with space for 3-4 days of clothes. It needed to be light enough to easily carry on/off European trains and up stairs as well has handle rolling over cobblestones. I bought and returned several bags before discovering this one. It is perfect for my needs.
This bag is part of Travel Pro’s PilotAir 2 collection (Nordstrom is the only place I found this line). It is similar to Travel Pro’s Maxlite 5 but has no power pack wiring and is lighter (listed at 5 lbs; my luggage scale says 4.8 lbs).
Size noted in listing are external dimensions and include external pockets in width and go to top of handle pocket for height. I measure the outside depth at 8”, not 9”.
Inside, the main compartment measures 15” H (16” at center) x 14” W x 8” D. Soft sides and top have some give if you need to stuff in more; not a true expansion space.
The Travel Pro quality is clear; wheels roll smoothly, telescoping handle locks and releases easily and is strong/sturdy even with my backpack looped on.
Without compression cubes I was able to pack:
- 4 long sleeve Woolx shirts (XL)
- 2 pairs Woolx leggings (L)
- 1 pair dress pants (size 16)
- 4 pairs underwear
- 1 bra
- 4 pairs socks
- 1 nightgown
- 1 pair shoes (size 9.5)
- toiletry case (7.5” x 6” x 2.5”)
The pockets and laptop sleeve were still available for more.
Note: This bag does not meet Lufthansa under seat restrictions; it does easily fit in overhead bin.

Meh
The wheels are hard to roll as they only go front back and my carry on has spinner wheels so they do not move the same way and i can’t pull one in each hand. The only way i use it is strapped on top of my carryon. A screw fell out from it when i started using it - not sure where it came from. The size is perfect for under the seat even in a regional jet but I’m overall disappointed as it claims to be a quality brand.

Doesn't meet the 2025 size requirement
I returned it because it doesn't meet the 2025 size requirement as a personal item. I had planned to use it for under the seat, but it is 1" too deep. It hooked on top of my primary carry-on very nicely. Would work for someone that can get by with a smaller carry-on.

Exactly what I was looking for--small carry-on ON WHEELS. Not as much room as a 21-22-inch carry-on suitcase, but great as a second allowable carry-on.

I have had a chance to travel with this rolling bag and it was a great improvement over having to lug my carry-on items through the airport. I wouldn't have fit under the seat of the planes because it was too bulky to get it in there and would not have allowed easy access to the items inside. But it really easy to get it into the overhead compartments because of its small size. Being small, it wouldn't replace a checked bag for more than short trips but was excellent for stacking my tote bag on top and wheeling it through airports. The padded computer pocket worked well for my small laptop and the main compartment also held two pairs of shoes and a jacket, plus two outside zip pockets for smaller things. My only minor complaint is that the pull up handle sometimes doesn't click into place securely and will sink into it's slot on its own.

Nice bag, but did not fit
I had to purchase an onboard suitcase for a last minute trip and thought this looked good at The Rack. Rolled well like other work bags, but after packing it - and it wasn’t overpacked at all - it did not fit under the plane seat. Had nothing in the two side zippered pockets, one change of clothes in main compartment, one 5 x 5 food container, and paperwork in front zippered container. Still, it did not fit under the seat and placed it in overhead bin. I’ll keep it, but just be aware it won’t fit.
