Quilted Tote

The bag isn’t terrible, but it isn’t great. It’s leather and made in Italy, but it’s not superb quality. There are strange construction errors that imply laziness in manufacturing and a lack of care for quality control. There are 2 additional straps besides the handles, an inspired woven chain and a plain leather cross body strap (that is removable.) The cross body strap looks cheap and the sewing errors are many. It’s flimsy compared to the rest of the bag. The stitching is quite off on the handles as well. The O rings feel very Amazon and they aren’t solid. They are hinged and can be removed. These things might not bother some, but considering the bag designs structure it brings it down a few notches. It’s a decent medium size and can fit quite a lot. It has 2 inside side pockets. One zip, one open and a full zipped divider pocket. Not sure if that’s helpful, or cumbersome. Sometimes those divider pockets seem to get in the way. The interior sewing on the one I got is also off so one side of the bag is actually smaller than the other side. It’s slight, but it’s there. The interior fabric is some kind of woven plastic twill and completely hideous. For a non logo bag that appears to be plain and classic, (which is why I purchased it) the interior tan and pink logo stamped lining with 60’s flowers is childish. If you can get past that and you don’t care about construction errors, enjoy the bag. Not sure it’s worth the $199 sale here, but it’s absolutely not worth its $600 retail price. Not by a long shot. That’s embarrassing.

The quality of leather on this bag is impeccable as is the attention to detail of the quilting. It’s perfect. The hardware and chains are thick and feel expensive. $200 on sale for this is great value. I ended up buying it in both black and saddle as I needed a good work bag. This is just perfect!
