Love These But Chose The Short
I ordered both the knee and ankle styles. In the end, I kept the ankle as they just fit better. I also live in AZ so it made it an easier choice. PG is an investment in quality and comfort.

comfortable stylish boot for moderate sized calves
Stylish boot and lug sole heel. Lots of room in the toe. Like any boot you may need to get a little heel or sole support.
I read the review w the warning for large calves. I took a chance and I do have to stretch and pull both sides until the elastic panel stretches to zip at the middle of my calf. However once zipped over a pair of leggings or jeans there is no discomfort. Got lots of compliments. Nice looking boot for this season.

comfortable, stylish, rugged - good for short legs
I shopped around to find a pair of stylish knee high boots that would work in winter weather, look good with a dress, and accommodate bulky Fulton insoles for troubled feet. These boots really delivered! They are great on rainy days. Stylish and practical. I am short so it’s hard to find knee high boots that aren’t too high. These fit great. I also have wide calves, while they were tight at first, they zipped up easily for me after a couple of wears created more flexibility.

skinny calves only
I love Paul Green shoes and own several pairs. These boots were perfect but they won’t close around my calves. I have chunky calves, but nothing crazy. I’m 5’3” and 160 and the stretch they added to the back of the boot does nothing. Another inch of stretch and I would have kept them. Bummed but still looking for a good suede boot.
