Floral Short Ruana

I love these wraps! I have purchased quite a few of them, both for myself and as gifts. The quality of the fabric and the sewing is excellent. It is soft, light and beautiful. The weave is much looser than on the tasseled ruana and I think a bit looser even than PN’s scarves—it’s definitely a different weave pattern, but the same lovely, soft, breathable viscose material. I do think this fabric could be more susceptible to snagging, so I am careful not to wear it with jewelry that might cause a problem. The fit is VERY roomy; I think this will accommodate almost any body type and size. I am 5’9” and a size XL in most clothes and this ruana is quite voluminous and long on me. Personally, I wouldn’t be sorry if it were cut just a couple of inches less wide, but that’s in part because I wear them mostly with pants or dresses rather than as a bathing suit cover-up. While I have loved all of the patterns so far this summer and last, I would really love to see these made available in some patterns that would work well over darker colored bathing suits. The floral prints like this one look beautiful over brighter swimsuits, but I’d love to see prints like Deep Blue Sea or Greek Map that would go well over black or navy suits.
