Genesee Cropped Straight Leg Jeans

I recently purchased and returned the sweatpant jeans - I did love how soft they were but didn't love the printed pockets. These are just as soft! I am obsessed with these jeans! I bought in my regular size 28 and they are a little tight at the waist, I may buy in the 29 as well because I love them so much. They are NOT straight leg though - they are wide leg - as wide leg as my Anessas. I am 5'4" and they are full length with flats. They dont go above hitting the top of my foot so they aren't long at all - but they aren't cropped at this height.

I am 5’4 and 135lbs. I bought these in the store after trying on 29 and 30. I am usually a 29 in most jeans but had to go with the 30 on these. While the denim is super soft and lightweight, there is very little give in the waist. The 29 would not have been comfortable sitting for any extended period and fitted shirts would have given a little muffin top. To be honest, there seemed to be only a tiny difference between the 29 and 30 but it was enough that the 30 would be more comfortable when sitting and be more flattering with a fitted top. If you are someone who is between a 29 and 30, and wear 30s often, you might even consider a 31. I own a few pairs of Paige jeans and this pair is the first and only one that I would say “runs small”. At 5’4, these were not at all cropped on me and they fit perfectly. With high heels these would be too short, but style-wise I wouldn’t wear them with high heels anyway.

I love these jeans. I’m 5’3 so they fit like regular length on me and are a very soft and lightweight jean for summer. Love!
