'Upena' Flat Sandal

My go to brand for flip flops and sandals! These didn’t disappoint. They are super comfortable and are my go to sandals for the summer. They did stretch out a bit, but nothing too drastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Look cute and comfortable in a way.. but if I wear them a awhile, it leaves mark on my feet close to toes. That means it’s not that comfy along the strings. It’s ok to wear short amount of time. Not for walking many hours. I kept them but I do not really recommend much. It’s pretty though.

These are hands down the best sandal I have had! Supportive, fits the foot well, versatile, and shoes I want to wear daily. As a teacher, I am on my feet constantly (averaging around 9,000 steps a day) and these are the only sandals I can rely on for all day comfort.

I’m a ride or die Birks girl but this summer I decided to branch out and try something new. I ordered a few Olukai sandals and kept every single pair. They’re very comfortable, no break in period at all. I would have ordered more from this brand if they weren’t sold out in my size.

These sandals have wonderful arch support. It’s like being barefoot but better. There isn’t much shock absorption so if that’s important to you these may not be the right choice. The style is a bit more tailored than a Teva type of sandal.

The sandal fits good and looks good except the crossover on the big toe is too tight and very uncomfortable.

I don't consider myself to have wide feet by any means but when I first put these on, the straps pulled around my toes and foot. I am crossing my fingers that over time, the leather will soften and it won't feel as tight as they feel now. Other than that, the sole is comfortable and the style is typical to your gladiator type shoe. Will I buy them again in another color? Probably not. Will I continue wearing them in the hopes that they stretch out? Probably.

I’m an 8.5 and these do not come in half sizes. I read the reviews and for whatever reason I bought an 8 instead of a 9. And to no surprise, they were a smidge too small. I’m returning for a 9 as we speak. However, that is not a reflection of the sandal itself. These are absolutely beautiful and very well made. Once the appropriate size arrives, I know I’ll wear these all spring and summer! They will look great with everything from shorts to dresses, jeans to leggings. For those of you who also take a half size and are on the fence about going up or down… size up. Just do it.

Was so looking forward to getting these sandals but like others stated, foot bed was thinner than expected and toe strap was very tight (I don’t have a large big toe). I have other Olukai sandals and ordered my normal size 8 so length was fine. Too bad straps aren’t adjustable. Alas they go back.

Toe strap is extremely painful. I only wore them for a few minutes in my house, can’t imagine actually wearing them out . Also, the footbed is a lot darker than I thought it would be based on the pictures

I like the sandals for the same comfort as their flip flops. My problem is when I tighten the strap the outer leather strap towards the heel rubs against my outer ankle causing an abrasion. I had to add another hole to the strap to tighten the sandal in order for them to fit correctly. I'm debating whether to keep them or not because of the rubbing of the strap.

I got these for traveling, and I do TONS of walking when I travel. I needed one day to break these in, but after that they were amazing. 10 hours+ walking around cities in warm weather and they're still comfortable. I usually wear a 7 but I read the comments and ordered an 8 in these and they fit perfectly.
