Bailey Relaxed Ankle Straight Leg Jeans

I bought these because they were a great price but also because they were a darker color and true ankle length (at least on me, I'm 5'7.5"). On me, they come down a little closer to my ankle bone unlike the more cropped appearance on the model in the photograph. I've bought NYDJ in the past and sized down one size like was recommended with the Marilyn style like is recommended (a 10 instead of a 12). Those other jeans fit, for the most part, but I always wished I hadn't sized down and bought them my actual size. This time I got a size 12 and am so glad I did! The pants fit and look great and even though they have stretch, I don't feel like I'm a sausage in a casing like I did with the others. I think if you're not sure what size you are in this brand, but also because two pairs of the same size and style of jean will fit differently, get your regular size and a size smaller, like NYDJ encourages, try on both and keep which one you think looks and feels better on.

These jeans are comfortable, but even in size 00, they are way too large in the hips and thighs. I'm returning them. I hope Nordstrom returns o carrying more smaller sizes in-store. I would especially like the return of an in-store petite department. A couple of racks of ill fitting and dowdy petite clothing is a shabby and useless substitute for a wide selection of sizes and styles. than previously as they have discontinued the store's petite department. I hope Nordstrom will return to carrying a much more extensive petite selection, especially in-store.
