V-Neck Shift Dress

I wasn't sure if I was going to keep this dress or the second one I purchased at the same time. Both are "little black dresses." but, each is different and can be worn for different occasions. This is an easy dress to wear. It's a slip on over the head kind of dress that's casual but add a jacket and it's a good work dress. The fabric has body, it's a heavier knit, so no wrinkles with this one. Ever. I recommend it as a great buy.

I don't love the material but find the dress great to wear under a blazer. The material is definitely feels like polyester but I can deal with that for the price and fit. Order a size down unless you have a pear shape body, then I don't recommend this dress as the fit will be off. I have broad shoulders, a defined waist and hips slightly smaller than shoulders. I bought it in many colors as it will be a work wardrobe staple. I wear a belt at the waist to make it a bit more flattering on me.

Raisin color was unique and flattering (a maroon-brown) but fit me (pear shape) baggy through the middle and too snug for my taste in the hips/thighs. Fabric was a heavy, synthetic-feeling polyester that I know will not breathe well in summer, so I returned. Hope Nordstrom will make more items in this color!
