Not a soft wool
The wool is mediocre and the beret is for a small size head. I returned it even though the cost of shipping took a hunk of what I spent on the beret. Buying cheap is expensive.

Love, love this little French hat to keep my head warm on cold and freezing days here in NW Arkansas. It’s so bland here where I live in the country.
