Poplin Maxi Tank Dress

I usually wear between XL to 2X plus. Ordered XL in blue and its perfect. Armholes are ever so slightly too big which makes a small gap in front. Will alter. Packing this beauty for Nantucket! Poplin is cool and breezy. Color is a gorgeous light blue like seaglass. Pairing with a white espadrille. I think this will be a summer & vacation go to for years to come. Stylish and classic.

I definitely would have preferred this dress in a petite size as it hits just at my ankles -- 5'1". (I bought medium as the small was just a tad too close on the bum). However, it still works and comes as close as I've gotten so far to finding a simple, lightweight black dress that I can wear casually or dress up. In addition, it doesn't cling at all so my lumps and bumps and larger hips/butt are mostly (!) camouflaged. The armholes, like so many sleeveless dresses are too big. I had hoped there would be a way to alter that at the shoulders but it wasn't possible. That said, with a good black bra it seems to work OK. So very good, but not perfect.
