Button Front Shirtdress

I like this dress. The weight is nice, the color is a soft cream almost very light butter yellow. But it doesn't work for my petite, hourglass frame. It fit well up to, a little loose in the waist (but if I belt it then it interferes with the pockets), but then is tight and pulls over my hips. It's also maxi length on me, I'm 5'2. Sadly, my hunt for the perfect shirt dress continues.

Bought this as an easy summer dresses. My skin tone is tough to wear anything other than black and navy with (pale with pink and yellow under tones). The tofu is shockingly very nice on my skin tone. Length wise, I’m 5’2” and thought I’d have to shorten it, but it just dances above the ground with Birkenstocks on, which is perfect for me. The only downside is that it says it’s dry clean, but I will be washing in the machine because I don’t have the patience for dry cleaning and at this price it’s fine if it shortens the life.

Tried on quite a few dresses and decided to go with this one for an upcoming trip to NYC! It's lightweight and comfortable, not too tight, and the side openings and pockets are a fun add. It does look a little more green (vs. yellowy) in person, a perfect spring color! I'm a 36D, and the bust area is just a touch too tight, so it gaps a little, but I've decided to wear a tank/bralette that I don't mind showing a bit. The large was too big to be an alternative.
