Ivy Lightweight Long Puffer Coat

We're going to a football game in PA in December. I need something to keep me warm, so I ordered this to see if it was going to do the trick. I'm 5' 5", 150lbs, and I ordered a Large. It fit well throughout. Other reviews have complained about the arms being tight, but I didn't experience that. The length was fine for me since I'm hoping to cover as much of my body as possible. I do have a few issues with the coat, which is why I'll be returing it, though. The first is that, to me, the ties on the inside of the coat were not clearly visible from the photos on the site. I did not notice them at all when looking at the pics. It's a wimpy piece of ribbon. Not impressive and very flimsy. The second issue isn't so much with the coat but with the lack of information provided by the Nordstrom Rack site. I probably would have skipped ordering this coat altogether had the temperature rating been noted in the details of the coat. I want something that can withstand colder temps than 25 degrees Fahrenheit. And last, I felt like I was wearing a sleeping bag.

I do love the coat! Definitely a keeper. I usually wear a size 6 and usually buy coats in an 8/Med to accommodate sweaters or sweatshirts. I ordered Med in this coat and it is a slim fitting coat. The arms are cut slimmer than other coats. I just can’t wear too many layers underneath. It is a warm jacket for Chicago winters. It’s light weight which I love! Definitely a keeper. I love that the hood is fitted and doesn’t easily slide down or get blown off my head with high winds. I also love that it’s not too bulky and doesn’t make me look too poofy. Shoulders are more tailored/fitted to my shoulders and not over-sized.

Just picked up this lightweight puffer. It's like wearing a sleeping bag. I love it. It's long (I'm 5'8) and slim fit. I would definitely size up as the arms and waist are slim. I like the fact you don't have to wear bulky layers and it provides warmth to -5 degrees. Double zipper end allows for flexible use. The inside of my coat is a golden color, not what's pictured here. The hood fits snug for windy weather. This is a keeper.
