Astrid Heavyweight Faux Fur Trim Jacket

Beautiful coat, in very nice unusual color, the faux fur doesn’t look overtly fake from a distance. The only downside is that it is more of a boyish straight cut, so not much room for curvy girls. I normally wear a size small in all my outerwear, however the size Small in this style, although it fit my shoulders, waist and arms well, was a little snug around my bust and terribly tight around my hips and thighs. I’d definitely recommend going up at least one size if you have any kind of curves or plan on layering with sweaters/sweatshirts.

Noize’s Astrid Mid Length Parka exceeded my expectations! I have various thick winter parkas, including Orolay (ie “the Amazon coat”), North Face, and Canada Goose, but they still left me cold during Chicago’s frigid winters, despite their high down content. After weeks of research, I chose this Canadian brand parka because it claims to protect against temperatures as low as -30°C/-22°F. I wore it yesterday for 1 hour in -1°F (-8°F with wind gusts) and was warm despite only wearing a t-shirt underneath. Multiple pockets are convenient, and the removable faux fur hoodie shields my face. It fits true to size, allowing for a shirt and thick fleece underneath. The only issue is the tight sleeves. Despite this, the sale price of under $90 is unbeatable.
