Bad velcro
Shoe itself is great. I'm glad it comes in a wide. The Velcro on one shoe in 2 separate colors wore out too soon. With kids and wear, I didn't realize why they had stopped wearing them.

Velcro fails very quickly
This is the first time we have been disappointed with New Balance shoes for our son. The velcro failed after minimal use.

Loved Originally… Velcro Stopped Working
PROS- My 5 year old loved the style of these shoes. He picked them himself out of a couple different options.he is able to put them on by himself, and I loved that there are no laces to tie as his school doesn’t allow laces for PreK. They look nice, and have structurally and aesthetically held up very well the last 4+ months. I also appreciate the support and wider than average toe box these shoes have. We followed the size chart and I feel they fit true to size.
CONS- About 3 months in the Velcro started coming undone quite often. The shoes fall off semi frequently because the Velcro doesn’t stay put. The Velcro doesn’t outwardly appear worn, so I’m not sure what’s going on. But I’m definitely frustrated these no longer stay tight on his feet and fall off.

Velcro doesn’t stick
Velcro doesn’t stick at all so they’re constantly coming off of my child’s foot.
