Great, supportive shoe. I've been using the 990's for year for daily walks. It is my go to shoe for everything. Works well with an orthotic. I did find the shoe fits large and had to go down a full size with the v5 to v6 change.

New Balance 990s Well worth the money
Bought the 990s for my wife for walking and casual wear. She like the fits and support the shoes offer. I have a pair of 990s I bought 5 months ago. I was dealing with plantar fasciitis. I went to the New Balance Store in Austin Tx. the salesman talked me into trying the 990s on I immediately noticed the difference in support and construction of the shoe I was sold. Well worth the money IMO.
