do not get does not stretch

I’m super frustrated about this shoe. I purchased the 8. It was way too small. I purchased the 8.5. After wearing them for a few days they don’t stretch out and are still too small. These aren’t cheap shoes. I’m super frustrated with this as a Nordstrom product and my feet hurt when I wear them.
