Narrow toe box
I love the 1080s and they were my go-to shoes, but was extremely disappointed in how narrow the toe box is now. I had to return.

Running shoes
I run minimum 7 miles a day… these shoes are not designed for long distance.
They have no cushion in the heel and oddly enough it’s in the arch.
They’re great for walking, but not running

Nice shoe, but....
Like all New Balance these are well made. I purchased these to address heel pain. They don't seem to work for that as well I had hoped. But the cushioning helps a little. Still can't walk in them for long distances.

Sadly disappointing
The 14 model was SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!! I wore my old 1080s down and was so excited for this new pair except the cushion feels cheap, the insole is styrofoam…, and the toe base is narrow. Had to immediately return, please bring back the old model!!!!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the latest 1080 did not deliver the comfort and fit you've come to expect, particularly with the cushioning, insole feel, and narrower toe box compared to previous versions. We understand how disappointing that can be when you've had a positive experience with earlier models, and our Customer Care team would be happy to learn more about your experience and assist with any questions or concerns.

Walking on clouds
Amazing shoes! So lightweight, while still feeling like walking on clouds! Love them. Will be going back to get other colors.

Not for me
The extra foam on these shoes isn't for me. It adds a bit of a stability issue, specifically for my inner foot. I am also not a fan of the slim toe box. It makes my steps feel odd and unbalanced. These are my first New Balances, so I was a little disappointed, but I am hoping to try a different model and see if it works out better.

Not as good as previous versions
They’ve reworked this shoe and it feels so cheap. The materials aren’t as good as previous 1080s and the redesign is less supportive than other versions. Very very disappointing as this is a running staple for so many.

Different shoe different fit, not the same comfort
This shoe does not offer the same amount of support as my previous shoe V 1080 I was disappointed with how narrow the issue is it feels like the soul is not wide enough, but the material is more flexible.

V14 and V15 are crap,a joke! toebox is so narrow
I have been a loyal customer of the 1080 fresh foam for 10 years. V13 was your last good version with a toebox that could be called a wide toebox and I could use a D width. V14 and V15 are crap, you kept narrowing the toebox both in width and in height, to please the fashionable crowds I assume, but that's it!! After buying 2 pairs of V15 in E2 men size and even going up one size more in the shoe size (so I tried everything) I am done. Brand loyalty is a 2-way street. I have moved to Altra, you can learn from them on how to make toeboxes.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your loyalty to the 1080 over the years. We're sorry to hear the fit changes in the more recent versions, particularly in the toe box, no longer provide the comfort and space you've relied on. We value insights like yours, and our Customer Care team would be glad to document your experience and help answer any questions regarding fit and model updates.
Sadest!!
