The Pointy Doozy Contrast Pocket Wide Leg Jeans

The jeans are stiff, which isn't always a deal breaker, but this leaves little margin for error in proportions and sizing. I'm normally 26-27 in Mother and I ordered a size 28. The thighs are tight, which makes sense because my thighs are a little muscular, but are also uncomfortable lacking any stretch. Also of note there is NO room in the trunk. My butt is packed in tight with no room to go. I have a badonk and these jeans manage to make me look like I have a pancake butt. There is a slight gape in the waist which in combination with the lack of trunk space leaves a side profile that resembles a toothpaste tube. The style is cute and I wanted to like but just can't.

Loved the look of these but was leary to purchase due to the mostly poor ratings. They went on sale for a pretty steep discount and it was too good to pass up. I’m normally a 26 in Mother but went up 2 sizes because of the ratings stating they had no stretch and were incredibly small. The size 28 was way too big. I ordered a 27 and 26 and I’m keeping my regular size 26. They are definitely a tighter fit but my normal size still fits well with no squeezing and not tight up top but loose elsewhere. They are pretty high waisted which I wasn’t expecting but the fit is pretty flattering and they are definitely a unique look. For the price, I say snag them! I stayed TTS but if no stretch concerns you, I’d only recommend going up one size.

The design looks great & I want to love them. I read the reviews then ordered 1 size up but that was still too small at the waist but legs were huge - wide & weird. I don't even think 2 sizes up would work. The manufacturer photo doesn't accurately show the shape of these & I cant imagine who can fit these or even how Mother okayed these from their production facility. I love Mother but these are a hard no. Worse fit than any Free People item & that says a lot. Great idea but poorly executed 😢
