Interesting, but not for me
I’m really excited that we are in such an interesting era of denim. I’ve been surprised at the wild things that I’ve liked. So in that spirit, I gave these a try. They didn’t work for me.
In mother jeans I usually wear size 28 to 30. Based on reviews and availability, I tried these in the 28 and could barely get them over my hips. That’s fine, if I liked them, I would get them in a different size if it was still available.
But I didn’t really like them. The leg is loose, but not wide, in a way that just felt a little frumpy.
I’m not sure what I expected the lacing to do, but I didn’t feel like it looked cool on me. There is fabric under the lacing until not quite midway down the thigh. It looks like you’re wearing shorts, and then the rest of the lacing is open to the skin. I didn’t like the look on me, never mind that it’s impractical where I live. If you like it, you would probably want to wear some kind of tights underneath in the winter.
The length listed for these should’ve been great on me, but it was a little long. Because of the lacing, these would be hard to shorten if you needed to.
