Didn't Capture My Heart
The "dainty heart" mentioned in the product description is more of a blob than a heart. It reminds me more of "The Bean" sculpture in Chicago than a heart, so maybe this would make a great gift for your favorite Chicagoan. It's just a bit more abstract than I was hoping for. The band and overall construction is very sturdy, and the diamond chips shimmer beautifully. Like Monica Vinader's other rings that feature these little diamond chips, the texture is rough, so the ring catches and snags on clothing and scratches skin if you're not mindful of it. I don't mind it quite as much on the Riva Circle and Riva Kite rings, but this has more surface area, so it feels a bit more "grabby."
