Not what I've come to appreciate and expect
I've been wearing Merrell Chameleon Stretch shoes for more than 20 years. They've been my absolute favorite go-to daily wear shoes. They're absolutely the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn... a comfy, snug, easy fit that makes it easy to forget you're wearing shoes. Yet enough support for daily activities and light hiking.
I was excited to see this version of the shoe for the first time... I thought it would be similar the Chameleons that I bought and loved in the 2000's.
I was surprised when first putting them on... they felt stiff and rigid in ways that I'd not recalled experiencing with prior Chameleons. But figured I just needed to get them fully broken in. I've been wearing them daily for more than a month now and they're still stiff, rigid, and unyielding. To say that I'm disappointed would be an understatement. If I could trade this pair for a pair of the current non-redux version of Chameleon 8 Stretch's, I would.
Mind you, they're not *terrible* or *cruel* shoes. They're just not what I've so long appreciated and come to expect.

Love the shoe
I love the style and color of the shoe but it's a little bit on the heavy side. It has great support and the way you have to tighten the shoe is different but I like it. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because of the heaviness of the shoe and that may be a deal breaker for some people.

Retro classic!
I love these shoes! I use replacement orthotic insoles in my shoes that fit well in these shoes which I can wear all day in great support and comfort. I usually get size 10.5 and that is what fit in this shoe. I would certainly recommend these!

More plus than minus.
Love the shoe.
The dark, blackish green leather and dense green mesh are eye catching.
Quality and finish is excellent. Wish they had wide options.
Fits true to size, decent arch support for my flat
feet.
One star short because, it's heavier than my
earlier Chameleon and the non Vibram sole is
"plank stiff", wish there was some flex from mid to
toe. Too stiff for city.
