Fit is good, true enough that you can lace the toggle and go, with the molded heel counter locking the foot without pinching. The upper is textile and TPU with a GORE-TEX membrane, so wet sidewalks and light rain stay outside while the mesh lining keeps it from feeling like a plastic bag. The sole is firm. FloatMax foam is there, but this is not a plush daily trainer. The rubber outsole feels planted and stable more than soft, which is useful on slick pavement and easy trails and less ideal if you want cloud-like cushion for long miles. Best as an all-weather lifestyle shoe with Chameleon hiking DNA: rain, travel, wet streets, light dirt. Not a backpacking boot and not a road runner. Toggle laces make on/off easy; the tradeoff is less fine-tuning than traditional laces. Break-in is short if the firm ride matches what you want.
