Hunting Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket fits me really nice. I’m 5’11 and slim build, this jacket in size medium fits me nice and comfortable. I can wear a thick sweater underneath for colder days. It has lining inside, very good quality and feels sturdy to me. The color is great and easy to wear with jeans or pants.

It is billed as a rain jacket because it has a somewhat waxy finish, however it is also super thick and keeps you very warm. I wore it while we were in Denver and it was absolutely perfect for the 40 degree weather and I felt super comfortable. I like that it has both a zipper and clasps to keep you super secure. The other thing that I really liked was that there are multiple pockets for both carrying items as well as keeping your hands warm. Overall, this jacket is very well made, looks super sharp, and protects you from both the rain and cool.

I’d prefer that the waist was a bit more tailored, but it will be perfect for layering comfortably over a sweater or work flannel. The pocket layout is thoughtful, with handwarmer welt pockets on the chest, and flap pockets with snaps at the waist. The interior of the pockets are lined with soft fleece, which will be a much-appreciated touch on cold days. While it’s not a heavy-duty storm jacket, it should handle light to moderate rain well and looks polished enough for casual office wear or evenings out. Overall, it’s a versatile, well-finished piece that feels like a solid wardrobe addition.
