Lissandra Platform Wedge Sandal (Women)

They are true to size IF you know your euro size and follow Mephisto’s size chart - which has my euro size 39 as a US 9 (whereas I usually wear an 8 in shoes). So, yes, size up if you are strictly going by US size. I have loved this shoe which I’ve had for 8 years and I noticed the cork wedge is just beginning to crack. Now I see all of the more recent reviews about the cork completely deteriorating and falling apart. So appears they’ve gotten worse. I was okay that a few cracks appeared after 8 years but I’m not okay with these recent photos. So I’ve loved this shoe but am afraid to reorder it, sadly.

Loved this comfortable shoe until the cork heel just disintegrated. After maybe wearing 20 times, I was walking across a parking lot and the heel on the left shoe slowly crumbled with each step. I couldn’t believe it with this brand. Looked at reviews and saw where others had the exact same problem. I want to get another pair but too risky. Buyer beware.

Design defect! Do not buy! Although I love Nordstrom (Icon/Ambassador level shopper here) am I really disappointed over these shoes. Like others have said, the cork disintegrates after only a few wears, if that. My cork disintegrated while I was walking down a busy, city street in these shoes, after only wearing a handful of times. This is not the quality we expect from Nordstrom or Mephisto, especially at this price point for sandals. Mephisto or Nordstrom should be reimbursing at full price for anyone unlucky enough to have purchased these shoes that have an obvious design defect/material defect. Who do we call to get reimbursed?
