Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de Toilette

I’ve been wearing Marc Jacobs Daisy for over 15 years, so I’m very familiar with how it’s supposed to smell. I purchased this bottle from Nordstrom Rack last October at a great discount. The package was completely sealed, but I didn’t open it until a few months later. As soon as I tried it, I knew something was off. Instead of the fresh, recognizable Daisy fragrance, it smelled almost like water with only a very faint floral scent. The fragrance is extremely weak and doesn’t last on my skin at all. I read that sometimes a perfume can need a few sprays and some time to settle, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I’ve sprayed it multiple times and let it sit for months, but unfortunately the scent has never developed into the Daisy fragrance I know and love. I don’t know if I just received a defective bottle or if it had deteriorated somehow, but this has definitely not been my usual experience with Daisy. Unfortunately, by the time I realized it wasn’t going to improve, I was well past the return window. I’m very disappointed because this has been my signature fragrance for years, and this bottle simply doesn’t smell like the authentic Daisy perfume I’m used to.
