Valvi Mixed Media Maxi Dress

While I am delighted with the deep navy color and the concept of this mixed-media design, I am returning it. The Issues: Sizing: The size 6 is far too big and does not provide the structure needed for a professional look. Silhouette: Instead of a polished, 'one-and-done' outfit, the excess fabric looks sloppy on me. For an executive wardrobe, precision is key, and this dress lacks the tailored finish I require. Proportion: The mixed textures are lovely in theory, but the poor fit makes the dress look overwhelming rather than sophisticated. A great color, but the cut is simply not refined enough for my standards.

I am a new customer to Mango, but when I saw this mixture dress style in navy I couldn’t resist. Looking at the size chart, based on my bust measurements, I should be size 8. I also have broad shoulders, which can be tricky. I ordered sizes 6 and 8, and the 6 is a perfect fit- not too snug in the chest and the armholes are not restrictive. Gorgeous navy, versatile and well-made. If you are between sizes, based on my experience, go with your smaller size as the dress is forgiving and has some stretch.
