Floppy, low quality bag with no strap option
SOOOOO disappointed in this bag: underwhelming, to put it mildly. Poor quality leather, only one small interior zipper compartment, & flimsy/floppy overall w/short straps. The kicker: Madewell promoted "Get Strap Happy" accessory straps on same page as this bag so I ordered braided strap; it turns out THIS BAG HAS NO WAY TO ATTACH A STRAP. I spent > 1 hour interacting w/both phone & online cust svc to select this bag b/c my original choice (Zip Top Transport Carryall) was unavailable w/personalization (another disappointing story, as after calls & 2 emails it was finally communicated personalization was unavailable due to bag being on a 2-week backorder (Why did that prevent me from ordering it, with personalization, if I was OK waiting for it?). Ordered this bag instead since it also had a zip top & IMPLIED braided strap would work (see bag photos in "Get Strappy" ad). I'm returning braided strap but am stuck w/bag given 3 tiny gold monogram letters the bag is "personalized" with.

Essential
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in black to carry my work laptop to on-site meetings and now I almost always use it as my personal item when I fly.
The structured bottom is a plus and it really fits so much.
My only gripe is the strap length; I wish they were like 2” longer. When paired with a winter coat, it can be a small struggle to get the bag on my shoulder but overall I am happy!
I can’t justify it, but wish I had it in brown as well.

Love the style, don't like the color transfer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this bag in black for a little over a year now, and I've noticed that it transfers color to my tops and things that I put inside the bag. I absolutely love the style of the zip-top transport tote since I have to commute into the office - fits everything I need like my lunch, laptop, notebooks, etc. The bag feels substantial and heavy-duty. But I have to dock serious points for this color transfer issue - my notebooks get a black stain on them, so I've just accepted the interior for what it is. I also would not recommend wearing white shirts with this bag if you're not wearing something in-between - the straps stained my light-colored tops. Just something to be aware of!

Beautiful tote

IN LOVE
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased 3 bags before settling on The Zip-Top transport tote. Featuring a zipper at the top, spacious inside, and a pocket for storing little items I am in love with this bag! Purchased in the color black the straps are sturdy and easy to carry. I can fit my chromebook, ipad, wallet, a little snack and makeup bag inside. This has to be one of my favorite purchases from Madewell!!
