The Suede Shopper Tote (Nordstrom Exclusive)

I’ve been looking for a bucket styled tote in leather and when this went on sale, I took the chance. The magnetic closure is secure and the interior is spacious. The lining is sewed in taut so it doesn’t bunch up. There is only one interior pocket and it’s shallow so not much fits in it, but love the soft rugged suede and the smooth leather handles.

Bought the burgundy and love it. Very roomy and stylish and it holds your life. I tend to stuff my bag and this one is good for that. It is very versatile as well.

I debated color and ended up buying the navy. It’s perfection! It goes with almost everything, has a great slouchy (without being messy) shape and hangs beautifully on my plus-size shoulder. I’m smitten.

This is a gorgeous bag, but I checked for color transfer because an earlier reviewer mentioned this. I lightly rubbed a white towel on the bottom of the bag. The bag left dark stains on the towel, and it would stain light-colored clothing with the slightest friction. I don’t want to deal with that, so the bag goes back, regrettably.

However, it's so big that when you put things in it, it's heavy (keys, wallet, makeup). If I had broader shoulders, I would keep it! In any event, it's got a great light interior (so you can see everything in it) and the navy suede is very nice. Wish it was practical for me. I will be returning it.

I absolutely loved this bag. I ordered in the Indigo color and it was beautiful. The size is large and can fit a lot of things. I would’ve kept it except it had two noticeable stains/ watermarks on the suede part. For the price, I didn’t really feel like just dealing with that. The missing star is for the color transfer… while yes I would’ve kept this, the Indigo did have a color transfer it rubbed against clothing or if I rubbed it. Not sure how to avoid that outside of always wearing dark colors only.

I was lucky enough to snag one of each color on a restock. Honestly they both are pretty and a good staple piece for your wardrobe. I don’t find these to be overly large either like some reviews say. It’s a slouchy mid size bag imo. Not structured in the bottom suede part but the handles are structured. I think that they might soften up a little bit with use. Love that the inside is lined because the ones on the madewell site oddly are not. I think I’ll be keeping both because the colors are very neutral and again a staple item. I don’t usually carry big bags anymore but for fall these are just too good. Would be a great work bag too and could easily fit a laptop etc. 5x7 frame in photo is for size comparison.

This handbag looked super cute online, but when it arrived it was so HUGE it looked like a diaper bag. There were some scratches on the handbag so I had to return.

I bought this to use for work and it fits my laptop perfectly, but I will definitely use it for every day as well! Holds a lot but doesn’t feel too big either
