The Small Transport Crossbody Bag

I am a huge fan of Madewell bags... I just purchased the Medium Transport tote two months ago and realized it was too big on my petite frame (5'2). I find myself digging for my wallet and sunglasses, which is starting to annoy me. However, if you are a person who likes to carry books, water bottles, and a makeup bag, then go with the Medium tote because it will give you plenty of room. It also features an internal zipper pocket without digging deep. The Small Tote is the perfect size for me because I can still carry a full size wallet, sunglasses and small makeup pouch-- the basic essentials for everyday errands without being in the way as a crossbody bag. The Small tote has an external pocket for your phone and two internal pockets with a top zipper.

Kept arriving badly damaged and with defect. Had to call Nordstrom Rack’s Customer Service to verify if the current inventory was damaged or defective stock. The third purse shipped with a thin plastic cover on the front and one on the back. It was the only purse not to arrive scratch and damaged. But it does have a large defect on the front—a 2.5 inch welt-looking lump that won’t lay flat. Second order shipped with a handle flipped inside out so that the leather cracked all over and only the back of the purse had the thin protective slip of plastic over it. Product description is also inaccurate. The version of the purse they currently have in stock does not have a zippered interior pocket. I wish it did. A zippered interior pocket for safekeeping of valuables would be very useful. Another reviewer mentioned a pocket defect where an interior pocket would not lay flat. The first crossbody I received had the same flaw. Tried—several times—to upload photos but was unable to due to an endlessly spinning icon.

I love this bag! I've been looking for a small crossbody for awhile and Madewell is one of my favorite brands. When I saw this on sale, I knew I wanted it! I got the Dark Cabernet color and while the stock photo makes it seem like a dark brown, in real life, the bag is more of a dark brown/purple (wine) color -- which I absolutely loved and preferred more. I attached a photo in natural lighting so you can see for yourself. There is no exterior pocket on this color and there are two mini pockets inside the bag. There are no zipped pockets inside (which I kinda wish it had). The bag zips shut at top, which is great. You will get two straps: the leather one and the fabric colorful one. I found the leather to be quite thick and good quality. I've only had this for a day so take my review with a grain of salt, I suppose.

I have many “designer” bags. I ordered this for a knock around ,no label bag. But to my surprise I have found this bag close to perfection in terms of size, functionality and color. . I’m finding myself wearing it for long periods of time without the urge to change to my more expensive bags. It’s light, stays close to the body, has handles for easy grab. Its size is perfect for all my essentials and has some organizational pockets. What more can I ask for. In fact I ordered another one in black
