The Perfect Jean
I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after all of the bad ones. These are quite literally the most perfect jeans I’ve ever purchased. This is my first pair of madewells and I am so impressed. I’ve been looking everywhere for a medium or dark wash straight/wide leg jean that is quality and fits right. I’m 5’3 135lbs with an athletic/curvy build and big thighs/butt and I was looking for something that would give me a straight leg silhouette, and these fit the bill! If you’re curvy, this will give you the best straight leg look. Definitely runs TTS. There’s a little stretch in the jeans which is great, but it also still has that cotton denim feel. I can tell they will mold to your body over time as well. Obsessed is an understatement!

Unflattering jeans unless you are over 6 ft tall
ridiculously large and oversized. The look of the image is NOTHING like these look like in real life. I was shocked they were the same jeans.

Very wide and very high waisted
I like Madewell jeans and the pair I ordered during the anniversary sale weren’t quite right so I thought I’d try again. These are a good weight and they fit waist-wise. I’d say they appear much wider in person than they do on the model (who is also a smaller waisted person than I am). I would say the waist is, for me, uncomfortably high. I’m 5’5” with a short torso and weigh more than I’d like for my frame so part of it may be extra tummy but the button is way higher than my belly button and after an hour or two of sitting it’s uncomfortable. I’m keeping them since I don’t have another wide leg pair and that seems to be the style again but they won’t be a regular wear for me. They could be great for you! This is just my take.

Great Flattering Fit
I really like the Perfect Vintage Wide Leg jeans. I have purchased 3 pairs now. They are so comfortable and flattering. I would describe these as wide but not super wide. Madewell does sell a Super Wide Leg jeans and those are definitely wide! I highly recommend giving these a try!
