Ill-fitting
Over the years I've tried the Madewell brand in both tops and pants, but each time I come away with the same impression: not very well made, and don't fit my body. This shirt is no exception. I suspect I ordered a size too large, but even so, the shirt is overly blousy, fits terribly at the shoulders, and is quite unflattering. It's going back.

Nice Blouse but Not for Me.
This is not the blouse for me. Though I’m returning it, I can imagine its being a fun top for someone younger, taller. The photo doesn’t show the billowing sleeves, but they are full from the shoulder to the wrist. I’m short, and the sleeves just felt overpowering on me. The material is . . . not soft although maybe after washing and conditioning it might be. I do like the color red and pattern. A faint charcoal surrounds the red and lends itself to a different pattern at the bottom. Cute.
