Lusterweave V-Neck Button-Front Shirt

This top had hanger appeal so I bought my usual size without trying it on in store (did not want to brave the fitting rooms during the holidays). When I tried it on at home, everything felt fine until I tried to button the bottom 2 buttons. It’s not flattering for my midsection. You can tell from the product photo that it’s cropped, which is fine, but the bottom is way too tight.

I tried this in a medium and a large. The medium was just a tad bit tight around my waist but fit everywhere else. The large fits around the waist but the sleeves are way too long and it will be costly to tailor them. I returned the medium but I'm still trying to decide about keeping the large. The white in the print is actually an ivory/tan. It's a pretty top - great for high waisted pants. If only the back were smocked elastic it would be perfect because it would fit better.
