MAC 205 Mascara Fan Brush

This is a fabulous brush for more lashes!!! I use it in a few ways so I find that it is awesome in that it can be versatile. Also as a Makeup Artist I love finding products that can be used in many ways. First I apply my fav lash primer. I will put my fav mascaras on it (Instacurl, Protwisted, Extendend Play) I will sweep coats onto the fan and put on in an upward motion until I get desired effect. If needed I will apply mascara directly to lashes; depending upon the look I want to achieve. Works so beautifully. Great for bottom lashes. Or use for after mascara application and sweep, shimmy, or separate. Cleans easy, great affordable brush. Thanks MAC!!!! Another product to live by. Xoxoxo ;)

I've had one of these for years and just ordered a new one as the other has gone awol ad I'm lost without it. I do not use it for mascara application, never have, but for combing through lashes immediately after applying mascara. I have long fair eyelashes so have always used mascara, but have never been able to apply it prettily! Clumps and blobs form on the lashes and those two sided mascara comb/brush things are useless. Use this brush to fan through the lashes straight after applying each coat, and wipe away any residue immediately on a baby wipe. Be gentle as the filaments on the fan are quite delicate and can kink if you bend or scrub them. Apply further coats the same way, although I always use a well magnified mirror. Like all Mac brushes it lasts for years and a really good buy!

I was on the fence about buying this brush for awhile because I was worried the fibers would be similar to the 184 which does its job well but would not be the right fibers for eyes. I am SO glad I took the plunge and bought it. The fibers are super strong and help curl your eyelashes up whether you have mascara on or not. Highly recommend!
