Love by Design Long Sleeve Velvet Maxi Dress

Flattering dress. Not heavy and is stretchy. I’m 5’4” and it touches the floor. I’m going to alter to ankle length but one could wear as is without shortening with a higher heeled shoe. Low cut that will need to be tacked a bit for me. I ordered 2 different colors in different sizes. The velvet on 2 of them had areas where the velvet was creased in a way that left a mark and didn’t look like it would steam out (guessing from how dress was folded in packaging) so I would suggest ordering more than one of the same dress. I ended up ordering another. IMPORTANT to note that despite what description says this dress is NOT LINED. Not that huge of a deal since one can wear spanx or other undergarments.

I really love this fabric and this cut, it’s nice and hangs beautifully. It does hide the tummy. However it is not cut well for someone who had a bigger chest. I am a D cup and this was sooooo low cut on me. There just isn’t enough fabric to cover the ladies, so back it goes.

Nice dress, but I have a long torso and I wish the waist line wasn’t across where my rib cage sits, it’s gives a very stocky look to the upper half and reminds me of maternity wear. Just wish it was more form fitting.

I’m 5’3” and it touches the ground. Too long and will have to spend time and money to have it altered. Arms are tight if you don’t have thin arms.

I ordered the XS and this dress hung like a potato sack on me. I am quite petite and I usually wear an XS or XXS but I estimate this dress runs about two sizes larger.

I wouldn't know about this dress. You sent me a sweater instead and I had no dress for my Christmas party as it was late.

It’s a pretty dress and looks good on someone who is a little curvy. It is low cut though so I’ll be wearing a tank or something underneath.

Ordered this dress but received a sweater in the mail. I called the customer service and she gave option to mail it back or go to store and return it. I asked what about the dress I wanted. She said it is sold out completely. What are my options?so basically they are making me make a trip to either a post office or a store and I am not even getting what I ordered. Totally disappointed with this service and Nordstrom rack.

This dress was perfect for me to wear to my granddaughter’s wedding. It was very cold but I was very comfortable and warm in this beautiful dress.

This would make a great prom dress, but it didn’t work for what I needed which was a grown up black tie wedding. The fabric obviously does not breathe at all. Even when trying it on it was a bit suffocating, if your event is hot at all you’d be really sweaty.

Stunning and beautiful. Perfect for Christmas season.

I usually wear a Medium (10) and the dress was tight - need to size up.
