Fae Braided Raffia Platform Sandal

I really wanted to love these. In theory, all the elements would be a home run - the platform, the chunky braid, the neutral color. I could think of a zillion ways to style these Spring and Summer. Unfortunately, they’re cheaply made. For the price of these shoes, I was shocked to discover the clasp was plastic! It felt like it could easily break. Beyond that the braid/front strap is uncomfortable. The piece of leather under it should be larger to provide more comfort, but I find the straw material digs into my feet. There’s no way, I could wear these to an event and make it through three whole thing. It’s too bad the execution of these is so poor because it would have been an awesome heel otherwise. If you do buy them, go up half a size.

The rafia is extremely uncomfortable and has town up my feet. I wore them to a wedding and walked a short distance. I had to take the shoes off before the end of the night because my feet hurt so bad. Sadly, wouldn’t recommend.

I'm not sure I understand the hype with these shoes. I got sucked into seeing 'influencers' wear them and thought I'd try a pair, as well, since I liked the neutral color and fun summer style. The raffia was scratchy and rough on my toes, and already flaking off the heel. The ankle strap is so thin it was already showing a tiny tear at the buckle. I realize this holds true for most platform shoes, but these were honestly like I just strapped blocks of wood to my feet - there is ZERO sole flexibility and were so uncomfortable. You would have to plan to not walk far at all in these shoes.

I adore Loeffler Randall shoes and have added to my collection whenever possible. I am always always an 8 in her shoes and these ran a full size big! Gorgeous summer shoes; just need to order down.
