Sledge Platform Pump (Women)

This heel is beautiful and its styling is timeless. I’ve had it on my wishlist for ages and finally decided to purchase for a work event. I wear a size 8. When this size 8 arrived, I couldn’t even get my foot into the shoe. The leather was very firm and clearly well made, but I would have had to go up to a size 9 or 10 in order to get my foot into the shoe—a real life Cinderella moment, but in this fairy tale, I was one of the stepsisters. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning the shoes.

A shoe at this price point should be available in half sizes. I wear a 7.5 or 8 in pumps and ordered this shoe in a 38. This is a 7.5 although the box states it is a size 7. I could hardly get the shoes on because the toe box is so narrow. The toe is low cut so it pinches across the widest part of my foot and shoes toe cleavage (which I don't like). I like how the shoe looks and the smoothness of the leather. I do think it will stretch but if it doesn't, I could not wear these. A half size bigger would help but I can't wear a whole size larger or the shoe would be too long and would fall off my heal when walking. Maybe this isn't the brand or style for me.
