Perfect fit, look, and comfort
Please never cheapen these boots. They are the perfect material, height, and comfort. Their wide width is intelligently across the foot bed, not the calf, as many other shoemakers do. If wide calf is provided, the listings should specify "wide calf." Wide *shoe size* should refer to the width across the foot--which Lifestride does right!
I've had two pair of these boots for over 3 years, and wear them all cold seasons long--yet they still look almost the same as they did brand new! Comfort is great, even with a bunion on one foot. The look is classy, especially the black under boot-cut pant. The material looks like leather but spares the cows. I am SO GLAD you have not discontinued nor down-graded these boots! I am not the only one appreciating all these qualities, as is evident in the reviews. Thanks.

A big disappointment
I was very disappointed with this purchase. I was delighted to find the same style boots I last purchased nearly 20 years ago... however, this new pair is much smaller (same size of 6 W as the old ones), the shaft is definitely NOT wide, and the overall quality is much lower than my old boots. The new boots do not fit at all, much to my surprise. They were on sale, nonreturnable, and I knowingly took that risk, thinking they'd be just like my old boots. Sadly, I was wrong, and now I have a pair of boots that I cannot wear and cannot return.

Fit my wife calves
I’m always apprehensive when ordering boots online. I have wide calves. These boots fit me well. I’m not fond of the amount of stretch fabric used, but, then, I do want them to fit. So, a compromise.
I haven’t worn them out and about yet, so not sure about how they’ll feel after a few hours.

The best boots ever!
I have been searching for black riding boots for a few years now, but to no avail... until now! I LOVE these boots. They fit my foot perfectly (I ordered a 8 1/2 wide). I have bunions on both feet and finding shoes and boots is always a hassle. But no more! I actually ordered two pairs of these so I will have them for many years to come!
