Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell 10353 Building Set

Don't buy this set! Every time I sat down to put it together, something would break off! I'd put that part back on, something else would break, nothing would stay together on it! So don't waste your time or sanity!

This is the best build I have done yet. It was quite enjoyable. The colours are fabulous. The instructions were dead on. Nothing was confusing as so many are. Can’t wait to build another formula 1 kit

this is an amazing car! it is even better than the McLaren specifically because of the tires being wider in the rear and the goodyear eagle prints. wish there were more printed pieces in general but it doesn't bother me too much. also, i think that the next one should be an older car. maybe the lotus 79 with Mario Andretti?

I love building the set, but when I got to the stand there were a couple pieces missing

I have yet to get this set but my friend got one and let me build it for him. I saved up for the Mp4 last year and that was really cool to see F1 in that scale! but from building it a lot had improved from the Mp4 witch was really cool to see! one thing that I noticed was that the build had a lot less printed pieces but I think that was a good choice so it ended up being the same price as the Mp4. Well overall it was really cool and fun, and it would be really cool to keep this theme going, and I promise if Im not to broke that I would love to perches another one. thanks lego!

This is a fun build, particularly if you want something between the big F1 cars and the speed champions. Easy to build, but with 800 pieces it can be spread out over a week or two. I built it while listening to the How to Build a Car audiobook by Adrienne Newey. In fact he has a whole chapter on the real car, which made the build even more fun. Kudos on the display stand and mini figure. That really makes the set.

At a very relaxed pace, this build took me 7 hours and 35 minutes. It could have been half that if you're into plowing straight through as fast as you can. As with the Ayrton Senna marlboro car, it's not incredibly parts dense. It is, however, an very nice display piece. Fairly accurate to the real thing, especially the exterior, and the colors really pop. As far as play, I don't do that but it could be played with being a pretty sturdy build. Really, the only niggle with it is the price. These are priced at least $20 too high due to density of parts. The engine area is only a suggestion of what it looked like and there is no transmission of any kind. Overall, while being priced a bit high with a short to medium build time, it was a joy to build and now display. Would recommend to a friend especially if you can catch it on sale.

It took him about three days to complete, and it kept him fully engaged the entire time. As a big fan of Formula 1 and LEGO, this was the perfect combination. The design is impressive and really captures the iconic look of the Williams Racing FW14B and Nigel Mansell’s era. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the model is a bit delicate once built. It tends to come apart easily if not handled carefully, especially when moving it from one spot to another. It’s definitely more of a display piece than a play item. Still, it was a great experience overall and a fun challenge for a teen builder!

I also like how precise it is. I also like that this is fun for the family to work on together. I like the hard plastic parts so it's not easy to break. The kids really like this product and I will be recommending this product to all my friends with children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LEGO Williams Racing car is very detailed set that has 800 LEGO pieces that are individually wrapped by numbers which makes it easier to put together when following the instructions. Being 800 pieces it takes longer to put together. When completed it is really neat and can be put on the shelf so everyone can see. My Grandson is helping me put it together and it was great.

Overall a really good set. Goes nice with the rest of my cars. However, this is the first set I have given lower than 5 stars for two reasons. A) Several of the pages in the book were kind of bleached, making them completely unreadable. It got so bad that I had to just pull up the online book and use that. B) There is a mistake somewhere in the manual that says to put sticker 29 on a piece, but there is no sticker 29. The instructions were actually referring to sticker 5 I believe. Other than that, I think it was an excellent set.

I tried building it with my partner, and we were both excited. It has 799 pieces, so it was a really fun little project. It looked pretty difficult at first, but once you read the instructions, it actually turns out to be easy. We ended up building it pretty quickly. All the logos are really well-organized and detailed. We love it and now have it displayed on the shelf as decoration. If you’re into LEGO or F1 (or both), this one’s definitely worth checking out. P/s: Not safe for children, as some of the pieces are really small and could be dangerous if swallowed by kids or pets.
