*Runs Slightly Large is an understatement!
These are beautiful pants of high quality, but the sizing is ridiculous. I wear a 2. I ordered a 2. It was so large throughout that I could have fit two of me in the pants together. I could easily go down two to three sizes, but there is no sizing down that much.

great pants (sizes way off)
I've been buying Lafayette 148 black Irving pants for years, but was horrified by the jump in their prices after the pandemic, so I was excited to see them marked WAY down at Nordstrom. As a number of others have noted, the sizing is crazy now. I used to wear a 10, but recently needed an 8. I ordered both an 8 and a 6 from Nordstrom and they were BOTH very, very big. The 4 fits well and I'm pleased to have a fresh new pair of very nice pants. they look as dressy or as work-a-day as I need, and the light wool is comfortable for 3, sometimes 4 seasons. Nice pants but order size down, down!

love these pants!
I loved the white pants so much I went back and bought them in grey and tan. The fabric is breathable but not see through which is really important for white pants. They look expensive and fit is great. I did have to hem a little. I’m 5’6”.

Lovely...true to size.
These are wonderfully made like all Lafayette items. I bought a smaller size as indicated on the product page. Wrong decision. ALL my Lafayette pants are a size 16. This pair, size 14, was tight. I had to return them.

This is one of my favorite brands. And this pant is another winner. I bought the light color and it is a perfect addition that will work with many things already in my closet. The fabric is light and drapes beautifully, I expect to wear it year round. I am tall (5’8”) and the length is perfect for me.
