These are so comfy to wear. I'm reviewing to give an update on sizing that I hope will be helpful. I am 5'5'' and my circumference where I wear my belt is about 30 inches. I am an inverted triangle shape with slender hips and a wide waist (according to the size chart I have a size 12 waist and size 4 hips). That makes it hard to get pants that fit! I took the plunge and ordered a small to fit my hips- and the fabric stretches just fine to fit my waist too. I was very happy with the fit and the fabric.
