Out of the box. These were great shoes. I'm a Keen fan and I like the fit. They were comfortable, lightweight, and good looking. I hadn't tried curved soles before but got used to them quickly walking around the neighborhood. I liked these shoes but after less than 3 months, the fabric started to fail where the shoe bends at the front. I got this failure on the right shoe first, a few weeks later the left shoe started to do it as well. This is also where there is a material change in the shoe. I am returning them. I would have given them a five five had the material held up, but this is not up to Keen standard. To be clear, this review is for the synthetic version of this shoe. I may give the leather version a try.
