Positives: no break-in period, laces are easy to adjust, good arch support, sole pattern does not pick up rocks or mud. I have a high instep so often find laced shoes uncomfortable for long periods of rest like office work or performances, but these have enough all-over flex I forget they're on. However, the rocker sole so comfortable for flat walking feels unbalanced for standing, on stairs or uneven surfaces: a few times I felt as if I almost fell. Am using the trial period to see if practice will moderate this or not.

I ordered a half size up. They fit great. But, I don't know if I will keep them due to the weird arch support . It feels like they dig into the middle of your foot, like it's a ledge in the middle, then a drop. it hurt to stand with the crappy insoles that come with this shoe. I switched out the insole to a Dr. Scholl's Gel insole , meant for standing/walking/long periods of time. It was a a bit more bearable switching out. I'm going to try a short walk with them on later, and if it doesn't feel like it can be broken in , and hurts after, I'm returning them. Especially, since I purchased them for my upcoming trip to Tokyo, where I will be walking a ton. I need comfortable shoes. These are cute , but out of the box hurt the bottom with their crappy insoles. I will see how it goes after a walk.
