Of multiple Keens I tried, these were the best!
I wear a size 5 street shoe, and that makes it impossible to find my size in any store to try. So, between Keen and REI, I bought (and returned) the Newports, Hyperports, Whispers, Astoria West, and Rose, searching for an option I could use for a trip to Costa Rica. Right off the bat, sizing up by a half size was necessary for all Keen sandals. The size 5 Hyperports I initially tried rubbed badly at my heel and the inner side of my foot. From there, I purchased all the styles in 5. 5.
I found the Newports and Rose uppers to be too stiff and low volume- the uppers pressed very hard into my feet, making them uncomfortable even when sitting down. The Astorias have so much cushion in the sole, it felt like I was bouncing with every step I took (I know this feeling is popular for some sneakers too- but it's not for me). The Whispers were probably the most comfortable fit of the sandals I tried- no rubbing at all, but they also had the least sole and arch support. After walking in them for one hour, I could feel my feet getting tired and could definitely feel uneven pavement or tree roots through the softer soles. The Hyperports (at a half size up from my street shoe size) were the best fit all around- the right amount of support and stability, and the uppers didn't press too much.
I used the Hyperports for rafting and canyoning- they dried decently well overnight despite the humid weather. However, I learned that I don't find them comfortable for a dry hike/walk for anything more than about one hour at a power-walk pace; the rubbing issue I experienced on the inner side of my foot in the smaller size became an issue again (though the heel rubbing is not a problem). If I wear socks, though, they are comfortable for longer walks! The Hyperports have become my go-to for errands and shorter walks and I'm excited to use them for future water adventures!

Wide and left chafing blisters on heels
I have a women’s size 10 medium. These fit wide as if made for men and they left chafing blisters over my heels.

A Lovely Walking Shoe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these ahead of a hiking trip to Kauai. I couldn't wait for the trip to test them out and have been using them for my nature walks in the park every week. I could not recommend these more! They are incredibly comfy and supportive. I just wish they had more monochrome color choices.

Feels Like a Shoe Instead of a Sandal
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted something that I can get wet, go hiking with and walk all over the place with on my next adventure to New Zealand. I bought a different style sandal from KEEN but didn't like it. When I got these, they were great. They look like you have sandals on but they feel like you are wearing tennis shoes. I like how sturdy and protected my feet felt wearing these. I also like the color. (Just wish they made these in a light purple!) I love how the shoe hugs your foot. There is no space left between the shoe and your foot. Love this fit and look forward to my adventures in New Zealand with them!!

I’m in love
These are so comfortable that I do not have to wear my insoles in them. Also fit after my total knee replacement! Foot was swollen but my foot just slid in. If you want a shoe with support and whether you need them for wet or dry conditions you will love them!
