floral charm chain belt

The belt is cute and true to size, but as I was attempting to put it on it broke in multiple places. There are gaps in the chain links. I have other belts by Kate Spade and they are sturdy. Not sure if the quality is just terrible for this one or if I, once again, received a terrible item that was not even inspected, before putting it in a box and mailing it out to a customer. I’m honestly getting sick of getting items in terrible conditions that are obvious returns and or defective. I mean if I wanted used items I would buy them eBay. Here I expect to get something new.
