Leather Low Top Sneaker (Men)

There is a major flaw on the inside and on the tongue of this shoes and it rips holes in my socks. If I were to attempt to wear this shoes without socks my feet would be badly irritated and the tongue cause tiny scratches on my foot skin. The scratches comes from the tongue edge not sewed inwards between the upper leather and the lower mesh material, rather the tongue exposes the raw edges on the sides and bottom, and the mesh material used to line the inner tongue protrudes outward like little hard wires that feels and acts like spikes and they cause holes in my socks. For a high end brand like karl lagerfeld, I'm very surprised at such coarse craftsmanship. This has never happened to any other pair of shoes I owned, even the cheap $30 shoes don't do this. Even though the shoes are discounted quite nicely by Nordstrom Rack, this is not an excuse for manufacturing flaws by the brand. If the tongue was sewed inwards, or a softer material is used for the inner mesh, this problem would not exist. I need solutions and I can't return these anymore because it's past the return period and I just started wearing this shoe and found out how bad this problem is.
